$12mil Clubhouse Expansion to be completed in two phases!

The Club at Mediterra announces Clubhouse Expansion

March and hectic go hand in hand in Naples. The idyllic small Florida town is crawling with vacationers and “snow birds”, all enjoying paradise with almost constant spring-like temperatures even though it’s winter.

At The Club at Mediterra, March was especially busy this year.

Their Board of Governors held a series of meetings announcing and presenting a major Clubhouse Expansion and Renovation Project that was coming to a member vote.

More than 350 members attended the sessions and the feedback received was overwhelmingly positive. For those who were not able to attend, the full presentation was posted to the Club’s private website.

Earlier May 2017, voting began. While there will be no assessment for this project, at $12mil, an investment of this scale requires membership approval before it can proceed. The members voted and 94% said “yes”!

The key design considerations that will benefit members and staff alike include:

  • Additional outdoor covered casual dining space

  • New and larger gathering bar

  • Expanded dining terraces facing the golf courses

  • Additional 50-60 person Garden Room

  • Expanded Ballroom for Member events

  • Improved access to all dining areas from the main entrance

  • Expanded lower-level for staff needs

  • Increased and more accessible storage space

During the Summer of 2017, site work begins. After that the Clubhouse will be renovated in two phases, the first to occur Summer 2018 and the second Summer 2019. There will be little to no disruption to member service.

The Mediterra Board of Governors, Management and Staff are so excited about this next step which is part of Mediterra’s overall mission to continue to be the leader among Southwest Florida private residential clubs.
